Research Notes contains preliminary philosophical observations, conceptual investigations, research questions, and developing arguments related to the Interpretive Motivational Systems Framework (IMSF).

Unlike Working Papers, these notes are exploratory. They document ideas under development before they are expanded into full philosophical manuscripts.

Can motivational theory remain entirely descriptive without making normative claims?

2. Primary vs. Secondary Motivational Systems

What distinguishes a motivational system that directly prescribes behavior from a psychological factor that merely modifies motivational weighting?

3. Meaning as a Primary Motivation

Should meaning be regarded as an irreducible motivational system, or can it be explained through other motivational structures?

4. Motivational Competition in Extreme Environments

Explorations inspired by historical case studies including the Kolyma labour camps and other environments of extreme deprivation.
